wasn't fun for me... lol

any ideas how to make it water safe? its going to be in my 4wd coupe. to be honest I dont plan on doing any offroading so serious I would have to worry about becoming a boat but I would rather not breakdown because of something preventable...

cheers

Same but I will say that I have been in water upto the top of the wheel arches in my 01 Forester with the stock air intake. The air filter has gotten wet in mud/water a few times... Never had an issue with the ECU though.

Yeah i can imagine you've been tearing your hair out over this. Didnt mean to make light of the situation but from the OUTSIDE its been funny. Im sure when you've finished & look back on it you'll have a good chuckle lol.

About waterproofing it i dunno if you can use sealant? Or is that the "dodgy Bros" way lol. Taza says he's been up to top of wheel arches...sounds like bit of a gamble tho.

wheel arches? haha i've been well over the bonnet, when i was stock, woops, never good,
even with the snorkel now, still not good going in water that deep,
its okay, if you go straight in/out of puddles, but any length of time in water, or getting stuck in water, and your up shit creek very quickly
