Brumby Died randomly

For details on my ute see below. Fault is no dash lights and no spark.....
Checked so far,
Fusible links (read replaced with fuses) and they appear fine. Will meter them later
All standard wiring fuses seem fine.
Replaced coil with no change (Coil tested before fitting_

If you put power on the positive side of the Coil Dash lights come on but no spark still.

Things to replace tommorrow with daylight
Dizzy

Anything else anyone can think of for the dash light issue or no Spark? I am resonibly confident it is the dizzy for no spark but will check that tomorrow for sure. The dash lights have me a bit interested but....

no spark for me was a dizzy module - just once in thirteen years of reliable motoring for me in my now 27 year old Brumby. A $100 ACA new module fixed that but did not have the no dash lights symptom.

Must be the dual port heads and cam. I can swap you for standard heads and 20/60 cam to get you back to basics.

Recently had similar issues caused by faulty battery.

It probably is the Dual port heads, etc..... Spinning the poor dizzy to fast

Have u checked the more obvious. Could it be a faulty key barrel or imobiliser fault.

Should have lights and stuff on the dash even without a coil and dizzy.

I would check battery connections, check earth connections (even use a jumper cable from the neg battery to Body - not engine) fusible links, normal fuses then key barrel and imobiliser (if it has one).

Thanks Dave, just saw this, turns out Immoblisher wire broken inside a Spade connector....
But still had me stuffed as to why when i but power to the coil, etc it still didn't have spark... But it does now...

gonna include immobiliser in "Bianca's" list of extra goodies!

I'm yet to see an auto elec or anyone else for that matter , use decent crimp pliers and terminals. A look through a few auto elec tool boxes and all I see are those horrid clip or miss connectors. A mate did one of these on an LPG conversion lasted a few years but then cost the owner $300 at an auto elec who claimed to have fixed the problem. It no gas happened again, landed in my hands, fixed it then "blamed" a dodgy relay to save mates arse (yet again!)

I have a set of $50 Narva Rachet crimpers....

Anyway the Club Lock doesnt even slow them down up here lol...
The list of Extra Goodies see actually has is to long to list... lol.
