Urgent help required

Post by Kenny_G » Tue Jun 12, 2012 6:04 pm

Hi all, my 92 brumby is making a funny squeaking type noise, from where the drive shaft goes into the box at the rear. Its not the drive shaft, the noise appears when i turn the left side cv joint thingy coming from the rear wheel. Just after the name of this part. Is it a rear cv ????? CHEERS :confused::confused:

Brake shoes worn out and metal on metal rubbing is causing your squeal?

So where are you turning it from?

The rear wheel; or the driveshaft with the drum off; or the inner cv axle trunnion with the driveshaft removed from the inner cv trunnion?
Regards

Gary ;)

if the box you talk about is the rear diff' , then the shafts going to rear whels is rar axle with double off set joints at each end. CV joint is really only needed for steering needs .
