Satnav/Radio no sound

G'day hows it going? My in car satnav/radio won't play sounds, I also have used aux. taken it to Subaru and still nothing... I have used a copy of Whereis V19 Map DVD C1, and a week or 2 later, it just stopped working, put the original in and it's still no sound, The gps still can take me to my destination... I'm inAustralia, so onstar doesn't exist here. Not sure why it's displayed but Subaru is stumped.

What car model and year have you got? I've had a few hiccups with my Forester 2007 factory satnav, but not the radio...

I've heard of people having issues with the CD player in my model forester, have you got any CDs in the stack?

You can always reset the system with the original cd in it, that will re-install all the software too and it will not delete your saved locations, only your display settings.

Last resort is a "hard reset", by getting the battery disconnected and waiting a few minutes. This should clear the whole lot and require the original map DVD to get it going again.
