Strut tops how to tell what way around they go

Howdy guys, just as the title suggest's how do i tell which way around the strut tops go.
Sorry for such a simple questions but hey i don't know how to tell. :-s
Any help much appreciated.

mark them b4 u take em off;) arrow to the front.

Is there a way if they wern't marked, because i changed them out for different struts.

subiwon told me arrows in
as mine were fitted arrows to the back and out
and i was doing strut tops regularly

If it is just the strut on an L series it doesnt matter but for Lift kit tower tops the offset goes inwards.

it shouldnt matter what way they go in....
tho on the lift blocks they will always give you a arrow or indicator to face towards the engine..

nah thats right it doesnt mater. but on the lower peice it should be marked with OUT written on it
