ea82 mpfi 3 long 1 short

i have just finished changing motor over in my 85 touring wagon for the 1989 mpfi motor and today found the computer blinking out the code 3 long 1 short if any body has any ideas and the idle is a bit sloppy thanku for any replys keppler:confused:

3-1 abnormal speed sensor signal - sort of required to drive car to get it asignal in first place otherwise i think it throws this error code.

Hey keppler,

Did you replace the dash with the one that came in the MPFI wiring? Apparently the speed sensor is in the dashboard of L series (from what i've read), if you're still running the old dashboard this could be the problem...

For some reason i thought you had a manual...

I gotta get me a lighter right foot, i've been pushing the EA a little too hard recently and i want this engine to at very least see a year of service...
