welsh plugs

Post by Dasher » Mon Nov 19, 2007 9:40 pm

I have a brumby with leaking welsh plugs in the heads. Would anyone be able to tell me how to get the old plugs out?

lots of swearing, many different nosed pliers and grips. If there is no staking around the outer edge, tap one edge with the idea being to spin them on their axis and grab with a pair of lock on pliers

goodluck !!

Basically as described above but you can make a hook up to pull them out easier. On the other hand if they are steel ones they may discintergrate when trying to dislodge them and end up in the head.
