installed a lift kit to my L last week and everything is running fine.....except for the 4wd selector (4wd hi/lo). it seems to be fouling the console, so has any one else run in to this problem???

cut the console/bend the selector shaft?

also i've noticed since lift i have a really bad shake through the rear end when i engage 4wd could this be related to the shifter?

i'm going on a road trip on friday so i need to fix this things asap!

remember to keep checking all the underbody bolt tensions. i've been told to do this after one week, then a month then 6 months and just to be sure a year (overkill I know but i'd rather be sure than sorry).

Probabily your best option for the lever is to bend it just after the pivot point or put up with it fouling the console.

Cheers

this maybe a stupid question (i havent looked yet) can it be removed so i can bend it? its fouling that bad that its about 1mm away from engaging when the cover is on.

could the the lift have any thing to do with the rear end shake?

and im checking bolts tonight, hate for them to fall out on the road!!!!

Is the tail shaft aligned correctly to keep the uni joints working at their normal angles? eg. If the spacers were missed for the center support bearing (spacers should have been part of the lift kit) it could make for some interesting angles on the tail shaft which could lead to vibration.

i checked all bolts assoc with kit some needed a little extra twist. tail shaft spacers are in and tight.

the car feels alot better still has abit of shake in the rear tho.
