hi team,
have a leak from my brumbies oil pump,
tried removing it the other day but after undoing the small bolts it just wouldnt come off.
Do i have to remove the crankshaft pulley on the end?
or do i need to pry a littl eharder on the oil pump?
Should it just come off easily?
thanks

It just slides out, I always found that it helped to leave the oil filter on so you could use it as a handle to turn out so you can work out it, if it's been there a while it's usually pretty stuck.

MAKE SURE IT COMES OUT STRAIGHT OTHERWISE THEY BREAK!!! Also replace all the orings and gaskets. Subaru do i kit usually.

the kit from subaru is only about twenty bucks
you are likely to be fighting against an O ring on the pump gripping on to the block inside. Memory says remove pulley is necessary and radiator to save damage

These pumps are prone to cracking, and the crack is very hard to see. Any doubt you should chuck it out! Non genuine are avaliable.

Hmmm... Good tips guys, I gotta do this soon with sunnie. He's got the "clean" block lines around the oil pump where the seals are inbetween - if that makes sense...
Cheers
