ea82 turbo injectors

Post by ea82T » Sun Sep 21, 2008 10:46 pm

hi, iv fitted a ea82 turbo motor into a MY wagon, and for the wiring side im using a 3 plug computer and a flapper style afm.
with the wiring all hooked up and battery connected the motor will crank but the injectors wont fire.
iv done some testing with a multi meter to see what is going on.i took the plugs off the top of the 4 injectors and with the ignition off i have power going through one of the wires and the other wire is the earth, but when i turn the ignition on both wires get power going through them and im not sure were the power is coming from, has any one had this trouble before or able to give me any help?
thanks.

One thing with the L series is that they are NEGATIVE switched, meaning that if you ground one end of the multi metre with the other on a positive termainal you will always get current through there and show as being ON. If you check it in the actual circuit it should give you the true reading of the situation...

Hope this helps you out.
