Hey everyone, My friend has a 91 touring wagon and her radiator fan is not running and the fuse is blown, they keep replacing the fuse but the fuse keeps blowing. Does that mean we replace the fan? Or is it a wiring problem that needs an auto electrician?

Thanks :)

Check if the fan is siezed, if it is replace.
Otherwise if it spins freely then it's auto sparky time.

ok cool, thanks for that. We checked and it's not seized, could it be something other than the fan?

Disconnect the fan and check if the fuse blows then you know that the fan is faulty inside the core - doesn't matter if its seized or not as the wires inside the core could be shorted.

Do you have a spare one? it would be a good start to check if its faulty fan or dodgy wiring or not?
Cheers
