shot power-steering

hey everyone. i lost my powersteering . as soon as i poor the fluid in it just drips out. one of the boot has been torn off. do i just replace it or is it something else that caused it?

The boots are not there to hold fluid. your seal is Kaput in the side of the Rack.

The torn boot has probably allowed dirt and grit to enter the rack and destroy your rack seals.

best go is to take the rack out give it a good clean and replace seals? or would it have done some interior damage?
