searched and searched but no go

I've found in various forums a link to camerons webber site, but none of them work 8O Does anyone have a copy they could email me?

If not three questions I could not find are:

1 if you run a/c do you adapt the idle riser?
2 Do many people have probs with running on, as the shut-off valve is not on a webber
3 I have power steer and a/c is it worth it or should I just stick with my good running hitachi?

I have a holley 180 on my brumby, its basically a weber, and I love it. It seemed to make down low allot more peppy but this was after I took off a rich running hitachi. I have gotten run on at times so I took it to a shop to get rejetted, it seemed to stop it but about 5 shut downs later it ran on. So now every time I turn off car I just slip the clutch as I turn the engine off and the drag from the clutch is enough to stop it. Steve rising sun said he has had some sucsess using an nomrally expanded solenoid that is used to set idle. When power is no longer applied it contracts and closes the throttle plate enough to not to let air in to make it run on. They used to use this on old holdens. Google idle shut off and you should find some pages that explain it in more detail. Have no idea about ac but I supose you could use another solenoid that gets powered when ac is on that is set at the right idle for the ac, only a guess tho.

Thanks bobbrumby, the a/c with hitachi has vacuum activated idle raiser was wondering about adapting that.

Even with my hitachi i don't use the idle up actuator, just set the idle to about 900-1,000rpm and all will be well :wink:

Go the Weber, it will still be an advantage anyway, huge improvement to any Hitachi and with A/C and PS.

In the MY, it gave me good low down and mid range improvement. It also allows to run a higher ignition timing, advance to around 14deg. I have an elec dist, so that helps too.

Higher advance than this causes more run on, runs hotter and will eventually ping under load. To counter all this, use PULP fuel only, it will run cleaner, wont ping or run on as easily, be more economical - even though it cost more at the pump.

I only get run on if I shut it off if its a bit hot, and just slip the clutch on shut off. As to idle increase for A/C, I cant get my carb to idle under 800-900rpm anyway, so its adequate with the A/C running.
