G'day guys, selling my L series to grab a mates car that has come up for a good price, the car is in good nick overall but the previous owner failed to disclose a few things to me, all of which have been rectified, except the wet spot on the steering wheel from a leak on the windscreen.
I would like to fix the prob before passing the car on to the next owner,
my question is, can i pull the black rubber out that sits around the face of the window to seal up the window then put it back on or is it a window out job, i have done a few windows before but only on suzuki's which are rubber all the way round, not sure bout scoobies.

cheers mick

these are bonded jobbies on the L Series and if it is the seal leaking up there not likely rust looks like a window guy is needed for remove and refit with new seal and warranty
I have tried silicone to seal same sort of leak in another car and leaked worse. Silicone does not always seal these spots when the wind blows :(

Try Sikaflex. My mate fits widscreens and thats what he uses. Works better than silicone as it always stays flexible.
