Liberty Shudder

Hey all

I have a bit of a problem with my gen 2 lib.
When i take off, without revving the sh*t out of it, it will take off fine
but as soon as i start to get higher revs it starts to really shudder and seem to lose power and it sounds like its about to stall.
I must admit i do drive it really hard, revving really high before changing gear but i've only been driving it for a week and i don't always drive like that (only to show off )
Could it be gearbox or clutch related?
Help please?? I want to have an idea of what it could be, before i drop the gearbox to start troubleshooting.
Thanks

wow couple of things this could be
wheres the shudder coming from??
how long does it last???
i was going to say i could be the spark plug fowling but i dont think so now
is it just when you take off with high revs or also when you drive with high revs??

I can't really tell where it comes from.
It lasts for as long as i have my foot down, if i ease up a little it will go away.
Yeah if i take off with high revs it will shudder and even when i drive at high revs it will start to shudder. It only started to happen today.

are you sure what your calling a shudder isnt the engine trying to stall?? it could be your ecu and fuel system is playing up, fouling the plugs and the like

I'm really not sure :S
it does sound like it wants to stall but i'll have to try it out more tomorrow and see how it goes.
Is there anyway i can test my ecu/fuel system or the plugs?

if you know how (please say you do!!) pull the plugs out of the engine, check them out they shouldnt be black and charred or soaking in oil or fuel. ecu and fuel is really the same problem and there isnt much you can do

haha yeah of course I know how.
I'll check them out tomorrow.
What do you mean i can't do anything about the ecu/fuel?
If the plugs are fine, what else could i try?

Are you sure your not redlining it?
because if it is - the ECM is protecting the engine and its a rev limiter that cuts fuel supply. Wont be gearbox/clutch related, its the electrical on engine. Could be timing belt that could be 1 teeth out?
Cheers

Thanks Spike and AP but I just fixed it.
Turns out one of the spark plug leads were faulty and it was creating a spark with the engine. Pretty awesome lighting show though =P
All fixed now
