Hi all, Ive just put in a new ea82t motor in my wagon but cant Remember if i rotate the crankshaft 20 deg past tdc on the number one plug and then install the dizzy pointing to the number one on the dizzy cap or do i set it to true tdc 0 deg and then install the dizzy. Also should i get i shock when i touch the leads on top of the dizzy cap when car is running?.

Generally only if it's cracked.
Go to tdc and install with rotor button
pointed to lead 1 then advance it until 20deg
when running.
Hope this helps

I have a faultless way to install
work out #1 tdc by whatever way you do
move crank to ignitin timing mark - 20 for the Turbo
look at rhs turbo side cam wheel under cover to see it is just one toof off it timng mark
grab dizzy with number one lead closest to firewall - drop in
then get feeler gauge on 25 thou and set 25 thou feeler between the two bits before they line up, so it is 25thou before they line up if you get the picture, lock dizzy in there and starts first time every time I do a rebuild

Cheers steptoe, But i dont get what you mean by "get feeler gauge on 25 thou and set 25 thou feeler between the two bits before they line up, so it is 25thou before they line up"? i understand the rest of the procedure.
