Weird spark plug problem

Way too lazy to go take a pic but basically the boots on the 2 spark plugs on the passenger side sit higher than they do on the drivers side. As in both end at roughly where the ripples are on the spark plug but on the drivers side it pretty much covers the whole thing bar a few mm at the end.

From what I can feel it makes a connection & car drives fine, but I'm still getting a loud tick & wondered if it was the spark jumping in the boot.

Also, the rear drivers side boot occasionally pops off the plug...there's enough slack so it isn't tensioned but every now & again I find it half way up the plug & making a very loud tick.

Any ideas?

If you wanna know if your getting a spark jumping just have a look at night...it will be pretty easy to see if it is...

It really depends on who you are with ... alone with your car could cause shocking problems:)

as for your spark plugs, remove the lead from the plug end and spray a bit of crc inside the boot so that it spins on the lead (if you have the lead type that will do this) then move the lead down the boot so you can see the brass plug. put the lead back on the plug and push the boot down frimly on the spark plug. this will make sure the brass plug is seated on the top of the spark plug and will help stop escaping spark.
