washed the motor now NO 4wd
Hi everyone. Got a 93 L series carby ea82 with 3 speed auto. i had washed the motor and went to move it. Selected 4wd on the T bar (as it was on my wet lawn and did not want to chew it up but no 4wd. The dash does not indicate 4wd mode and the fronts are spinning. the car has only 140000 and i have owned her since new. 4wd worked perfectly prior. I suspect something obviously got wet but where do i start looking. Any Ideas??
i could be wrong but its worth a check, make sure you didnt fry any of your fuses becuase this sounds like a electrical problem,
i hope this helps you, if not someone with more skills can
good luck mate and keep us posted

Definately sounds like an electrical issue but I'd also check the vacuum lines to the 4WD selector module.

When you wash the engine bay do you use high pressure soap setting? Even on the low pressure setting you still have to be very careful...dont get too close with the nozzle & keep away from sensitive areas, esp dizzy, sensors & fuses. A spray of silicone afterwards is a good idea on throttle linkages etc.
Good luck...
Good luck...

The old water in the connection problem.. glad to here it's fixed
Just make sure the connections are coated with a little bit of white electrical grease, this will prevent corrosion and stop this happening again.
