how many wires on the coil in a 1990 brumby

Just been going over the wiring in the brumby and have noticed that the wire diagram shows that i have two more wires then i should. on the neg side i have a black/white wire and a black and yellow wire on the pos side i have a red/black wire plus one for the distributor any help with this would help

Whose diagram? Most , if not all are hard to read. Your actual situation sounds correct. Do you have any ignition/running problems?
Not sure if the radio suppressor is in the diagram, is attaches to the body just near the coil.As for your pollution and fuel lines, can't help as i removed most of mine in LPG conversion

this is what happens when you buy something that has parts missing. have raked up some extra funds from the accountant (wife) to purchase the missing distributor on the car would be easy to move i told her just have to sort out getting it running. i purchased a workshop manual (CD) that don't show much just a guide to help sort it out

Yellow(-) and Black/White(+) from Dizzy.
Black(+) and Yellow(-) from wiring harness
Black/White(+) from harness

Thanks for the help Toonga that was the first thing i done after joining the forum and have purchased one as well they just don't show complete items except for the altinator and starter motor, I now know how many parts are in each

Phew.. I just read your first post and got worried.. Black with a white track is generally a ignition feed wire colouring (in the Subies) so glad you got some better info there.

Thanks for the link to the jpmfsm site Toonga I even grabbed the Subaru 4wd book they made and the 1983 manual is more informative then the ones i have now all i have to do is wait for this rain to go away as i don't have a shed to work in

Paul that's one very dirty brumby!!!
made24x4 - that plug with the multiple wires in it that's probably blue on one side and white (kind of like a very faded plastic white colour) is your instrument cluster gauges, and some wires for the solenoids on the carbie such as the anti-dieseling solenoid
