VDC and ABS lights coming on dash

Hi all, my car was lifted with 2' blocks and raised springs yesterday.
Now when i go above about 80km/h for about 5 mins the VDC and ABS lights come on my dash and stay on, when i turn the car off and restart it they dissappear until i reach the speed again, any ideas would be helpful on where the problem is coming from, cheers:)

maybe your abs sensor wires are stretched fully now.

they do bolt up to the body and the hubs.

check them and make sure they arent at full stretch.

you may have to unbolt the brackets that hold them to the body.

unofrtunately youre one of the first with a bodylift and youre the experiment! hahaha

I stuck my head under there earlier and they arent anywhere near stretched, i wiggled and playes around with them and it doesn't look like any of them are damaged, but then again im no sparky either

got me stumped then lol. Ive heard that abs sensors are pretty touchy also. Hopefully they didnt damage anything when lifting it.

I will have another look this arvo and wiggle them hopefully they just got bumped or something and arent working properly when the car has some speed happening.

I got the exact same thing last night. Fitted 2inch lift blocks and last night just moving the car into the driveway not going faster than 20 and abs light came on. Didnt go off until i restarted the car.

Yeah i just had another look and from what i can see there is nothing loose or missing on the sensors themselves, unless something under the brake hub is playing up, if you find anything let us know, i might ring up the mechanic and tell him they broke something putting the kit in and try get them to fix it for free:P
I didn't check if the lines are tight on the body, only where they connect into the brake hubs, maybe the problem is up further in the line..

We were standing on the front hubs when we put our lift blocks in the front. After putting them in the worng way we turned them around without removing the strut, thus standing on the hub with 100odd KG of weight to spin them around. I think the lines were strenching then. But the car was driven the same day with no issue so it will need to be looked into

check where the abs wiring passes though the body and the plugs on the harness side as well.

The wiring is rather feeble to say the least and normally gets destroyed where it bolts to the body.

Cheers for the tip, its kinda odd that it works around town and when i get speed up for a while the lights come on.. Will have a look tomorrow and report back

For anyone wondering, FROG pointed me in the right direction, turns out lifting the car annoyed the Yaw and G-sensors that are part of the VDC/ABS system, by lifting the car it thinks that the car is off centre of gravity and malfunctions when the car is moving, the solution was a simple wheel alignment to get the wheels straight again:)

I'm glad it was such a simple fix

You should always do a W/A whenever you change anything to do with the suspension. Check your tyres, it doesnt take much to scrub em out
