So finally get claudia on the road after major electrical work and the respray and have a shudder coming from the front. it feels like an outer CV on the passengers side is gone. So replace it. Still there....

Have checked Rack end / tie rod end and seem fine and the ball joints new. Also tightened the pre loaders on the front diff. Checked the Rear tailshaft too.
Any ideas? I am open to suggestions before i start building new CV's and replacing wheel bearings and tie rod ends/rack ends.

What sort of shudder - is it there at walking speed or is it something that builds with the speed of the vehicle - rhythmic or random? Come and go or constant?
I'd swap the front wheel to eliminate an out of round tyre or an unbalanced one.
I'd also look carefully at the CV shafts that you're putting in - I had an issue a while ago that had a vibration coming and going, sometimes really bad, sometimes not so bad and there were times that it wasn't there at all. Turned out that *both* of my front shafts were on the way out, no noises just sloppy joints that created a vibration on both sides of the vehicle - which is why it would not be there some times (cancelled out) and why it would feel like it wanted to tear the car apart (both unbalanced points at the same place in their rotation).
Two new shafts from Frog sorted that out

It wasn't my most favourite thing to do - shelling out the money but it was a great result to have!
Cheers

that'd be the inner DOJ of the CV shaft, did you only swap the outer CV joint not whole shaft? I used to have a spare to throw in as a diagnostic constant.

The shafts are custom, so i can't replace it easily, lol

And it seems to build with speed but then goes away at certian speeds

sounds just like what I got with didgy inner DOJ - more not speed but torque or load dependent. Try swap left with right etc , just going other way might resolve it. Mine did it more in cruising speeds and not lower gears.....

Mine developed a hell noise/vibration one night a while ago.
It was that bad, I pulled up to see if a wheel was loose, got going again no noise for about 5 min, that's when I realised it was a front driveshaft.
