Have you checked your leads? 5-11K ohms from memory.

Pic of yours?
Turn it to ohms, in your range.
There will be different ranges.
Ie were the decimal point is.
I really need a pic of yours to show you.

The ohm (symbol: Ω) is the SI derived unit of electrical resistance, named after German physicist Georg Simon Ohm.

well update time. (i really want this as a daily!)

new leads-check
new spark plugs-check
swapped out coil for another one.

problem is still there, once warm (or after a breif drive) it studders real bad at times.

i pulled and cleaned the cam and crank angle sensors today, didnt help.

all i can think of now is;
o2 sensor
check fuel pressure
clean fuel tank blow the lines with compressed air.

ps. ecu is throwing NO codes

even if people have given up on this thread. im posting as a memo for future problems.

so today i switched out the manual ecu for a spare auto ecu.... just to see

fault was still there, after short drive.

connect plugs listen to the relays click and fuel pump cycle, after a while the fuel pump note changes (gets louder).

so im going to pull the tank and get it cleaned/hot wash at a mates work.
re-blow the lines and see how it goes from then.

i should mention the car was sitting with a dead engine (sitting for i dont know how long) maybe there is crap in the tank.

I'm still reading with each update!

Have you considered the fuel pump lagging in doing it's job? They can present some interesting problems that are hard to track down when it intermittently drops pressure. But you had a code thrown as well right?

Cheers

where is that fuel pressure gauge thread I started ! I haven't even seen a sensor on an EJ but have seen write ups of other makes where rotating rings are missing teeth or cracked and slipped etc but they not present with a temp related thing. Hope it shows its ugly head before too long....

so the tank has been cleaned. swirl some fuel in there, tip it out and let it dry.

i switched the coolant temp sensor from my spare ej25 and while doing that noticed the crank sensor wiring was worn through to the wires past the sheilding, could be a reason for problems?

well once the tanks dry and reinstalled fuel lines reconnected/crank sensor swapped hopefully no more problems.... i put some coilover springs in the back aswell, lowered it quite nicely.

oh and im going to make a b10 scan cable for trouble shooting, but my laptop is to new... i need the 25 pin connection the older laptops have on the back!! :(
