EJ22 running rough

On the canister behind the right headlight there is a small valve on the smaller hose to the engine.....what would be the effect if the valve was taken out.

Its a one way valve on the purge line. Its obviously there for a reason.

Ok update time.....the car starts fine but when I flatten the throttle it sound to bog and won't rev but then pics up but not right

Air flow meter? Coils, ignition leads or spark plugs?

Yeah was thinking that way....was thinking about having injectors cleaned

Check ignition stuff first. It's usually whats wrong and its the easiest. Plugs and leads first.

Lots of things can cause the engine to run rough. I'd grab a copy of the WSM and this will show you the points to check for.. i.e Spark Plug Lead resistance, Compression readings, Fuel pressures and so on. I think we can all give you some good ideas to check but you could be chasing your tail, by following the WSM, it will take you through the correct steps to diagnose.

Yeah I got a WSM and its helping....thanks
