ej25 wont start

I have a 1998 Liiberty Heritage Bilstein ed

Good old head gasket has gone again but ive got a 148k engine in a donner car i just bought which has been pretty well striped out (hit in the front/ air bags dep)

it was a gamble because the timing belt was off but i lined it all back up and it turns over sweet!, i could not get it to fire but i sprayed a fair bit of carby cleaner down the throttle body and it started and seemed to run fine for a good few seconds.

I noticed the owner pinched the fuel pump so i swapped it with mine and got fuel presure. i dont think it has anty injector pulse as it wont start and the plugs seem dry.

I tried starting in it on areostart down the throttle body again but it doest want to know about it.

-Definatly has spark
-Plugs seem dry
-air bags deployed
-no instrument cluster

any ideas??
