Nippondenso dist swap for Hiatachi EA82

I have a 1993 Carb EA82 with faulty Nippondenso distributor. Can it be swapped for a 1984 carb EA82 Hitachi distributor. Any advice appreciated, Roger.

1984 EA82 would be the 1985 model year yeah ?

Two wires each disty?

I'd do it, just make sure coils are same, or swap coil with its disty

Hi, yes it's made 1984 but complianced 1985. Both distributors have two wires. Already swapped the coil over. Just wondered if the drive gear would be the same & other fitment
criteria. Roger.
