yesterday, checked fuel pump, no power to pump, checked wire further along power good, so i thought the pump must be shot so ripped it out and checked it with a battery power direct and pump worked-getting frustrated-rechecked power at pump and had power, must have had a bad connection, re-installed and it worked car ran fine-thought it was fixed-filled ute with garden/lawn clippings take for test drive to dump 'arrrrrrrrrrh' konked out at the end of the street 'shight shight and more shight'

problem
1. pump works then doesnt work, can feel it when it works and when it is not. Can a pump work and then just stop intermitently because of faulty pump?
2. could it have something to do with the revolution sensor? and where is it exactly?

and where does the fuel pump run off? alternator, coil, or something else?
I need to narrow this down so i know what look at and to go out and buy,
Stinky I will pick up your pump monday and check that just to see if that is the problem but I'm more leading towards power issues now.

This post can probably be moved to trouble shooting now

cheers for all advice

I would say it's an electrical issue too.

Visited stinky today to borrow his fuel pump to rule it out. Just put it in, car started first go but that isnt a sign that its fixed yet. Need to take it for a good squirt tomorrow and then see.

Thanks to stinky for the lend, might be buying your pump soon Baron, fingers crossed that this is the problem. God hope it is!

Well stinky, I have to say I love your ute, your bullbar and rollies are exactly what Im after and the engine upgrade of course but thats a want not a need at the moment.

I'll give it a couple of days to see if its fixed. I'll give you a call later on in the week and organise to meet you in the city to give you your pump back.

If you are still up for beers for a hand with your gear box rebuild/convert just say and I'd be more then willing to drink some piss! I mean help you rebuild/convert gear box, hahaha!!

Fingers crossed my ute is fixed!
