happy easter all.

my 86 dl wagon has decided that it likes to sit lower in the front passenger side than everywhere else. ive recently changed the springs to 6 month old, heavy duty king springs. ive checked bolts and their tightness and all seems fine. my father, being a man who has worked on many cars, had a look for me and thinks that the shocks are going or gone.

so, im looking to replace my shocks/struts/whatever. going on the advice ive managed to find in the forum on the subject im looking to get kyb gear.

(1) can i just replace shocks or do i need to replace the whole strut?
(2) can anyone point me toward a good place to get them in brisbane? google yielded no results of use.

on another matter... i want to get my car back in good working order. and as part of this i need to know everything thats wrong with it at the moment so ill have a list of things to fix. so...

(3) is there any 'ru gurus that would want to go through my car and give me the aforementioned list?
(4) if not, can you suggest a quality 'ru mechanic that would do it?

i already have plans to take it to scorpion subaru but this requires the saving of money and im a poor uni student.

If it is sitting low on the passenger side of the vehicle and you have replaced the springs with no change then it sounds like something is bent, broken or worn out. I wouldn't rush out to replace the shocks/strut unless you can confirm they are damaged, as just being worn out won't change ride height.

Sway bar bushings, or a bent sway bar ?
