hi i was wondering if any1 can give me sum advice on changing lifters in a ea82 thanx

Yep, leave them as the next set you put in will be the same...

Try a thinner oil, see how that goes first.

Otherwise you could remove the cams and swap out the lifters then put it all back together... I don't know if you'll need to remove the engine from the MY engine bay or not, you'll work that out on your own.

whether to do it or how to go about it ?

I noticed exchange units mentioned at about $6 or $8 outright each on a US site. Seen em here for as much as 70 bucks each

if you asking advice, tell a bit more to get a better answer maybe ?

well i already put thinner oil in it and it just made it worse my brumby has a ea82 in it so there is no room to get the bolts out i want a ea81 to put in it so i dont have to **** around with all the shit but no1 seems so want to give them up and there is no where around me to buy one from a wreckers

have you tried replacing the oil pump seals? usually quietens them down unless they're really worn

nah i might have to give that a try but at the moment i cant drive it because the noise is so loud that i can hear it from 50m away so im going to change lifters and then if that dont help might change the oil pump seal
