Ea82t injectors different have a look!

Post by colwyn » Thu Sep 18, 2008 4:47 pm

My cars been missing so i removed the injectors to clean them and i expected them to be the same.

Have a look at the pic these are from the LHS of a ea82T engine

One is disticively different as can be seen by the larger injector but the absence of a injector pin sticking out (in pic RHS one).

Is this normal can somebody please advise ASAP ASAP i would take the rhs ones out too to have a comparison but its a hard job.

I pulsed them with a 9v battery and both release fuel though the injector pin one seems to spray a little more.

Exactly the same injector

That would make sense, though a plastic cap? doesn't the heat from the combustion process damage the cap?

-Obv youve had your injectors out before and had a good look at em
