l series box leaking

The duel-range 'box is leaking. Is this common? How do I fix it? How much?

depends. id say pretty expensive to pull apart and fix. check you havent overfilled it, and obviously the nut is tight. mine leaks a little weeny bit, i think its just the way they are

First thing is to identify exactly where it's coming from. If it's from around the shifter linkages I have heard this is not a major job.
