timing belt interval for 09 forester.

Post by icejazz » Fri Jun 12, 2009 12:08 pm

Hi, cannot anyone tell me the intervals for timing belt replacement on the new forester. According to the US it is at 105,000 miles (see link below and scroll to maintenance part). Should be the same in Australia I think. Has anyone got the link to 09 Forester maintenance schedule for OZ?

best bet would be to check the owners manual in the glove box, i would say it 100,000km like any other subie around! or better yet call subaru and ask them possibly.

105,000 miles is pretty far... which works out to be 168981kms.... can't be right... because timing belt is rubber and i wouldn't let it go this far...
I would say 100,000kms (maybe 60,000 kms in some cars) Again, whatever comes first the date or kms should be changed.
