well I'm officially disappointed, I finished assembling the front struts in the ute and got the cross bred steering adaptors worked out, went to fit them to the car and found that they wont fit with the lift block on top of the strut, apparently there's not enough movement in the bottom ball joint to get the angle to fit both bottom strut bolts. took the lift block and it's all good, just...

for those interested, I'm running a 2" lift kit with a cross bred 5 stud kit using L series lower control arms, liberty hubs with camber adjustment and forester struts and springs...

Ok so small update, I started working on my ute today and was planning on spending the whole day on it seeing as its our show holiday but got side tracked helping the Mrs clean up my parts room after the cat pissed on the tarp I had down to protect the carpet.

Anyway I managed to get the jack holder out

Then the battery tray

Then out came the steering rack after some more spot weld drilling

Just after lunch my brother rocks up at my place bored and uninterested in my toy 4WD and wanted to go playing in his "Real" 4WD so we headed over to Mt Louisa for an afternoon of rocks and dust

For anyone interested in the Patrol, it's a 98 DX ute with a TD42 diesel straight 6.
It's had a chassis swap with a wagon chassis so that it has coil springs all round for better flex, better ride etc.
4" lift with 20mm coil spacers in the rear so it sits level and massive adjustable shocks and steering dampner and adjustable panhard rods
16"mags with 33" Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ
ST ute interior (carpet and buckets instead of vinyl and bench) This past week end we fitted up a pair of Autotechnia racing bucket seats
