Is there something you can work out for torque, kilowatts/power output matching up with gearbox's ratios and diff to give you ideal revs/enough power output behind engines?

in theory - ie. EJ20TT behind 4.11 with 0.738 5th gear will be doing approx 2500rpm, the engine should be able to pull easily!
Cheers

I don't know if this is what you want but you can work out roughly how many kph's with different rev's/gear ratio's/tyres/diffs. It wont be real accurate because of real world conditions but should be close I think.

Engine rev's / gearbox ratio / diff ratio x tyre circumference (in metres) x 60 minutes / 1000 = klm's/hour

ie: 3000 / 1 / 3.08 x 1.355 x 60 / 1000 = 80 klm/hour

Horsepower calculators can be found by google.
