Clutch cable snapped in 88 touring wagon

Post by Schulzy » Thu Feb 10, 2011 6:45 pm

Hey guys

I bought my touring wagon with a 4" lift off this forum a month or so ago

This morning on the way to work i pushed my clutch in and it nearly went through the floor
and was flopping around.. I put my hand in under the dash and a little square gold piece fell out

It apears its the little golden stopper from the end of the clutch cable.. It snapped just before the end.. Is it possible to weld back on.. Or does anyone have a spare cable handy.. None in stock locally or in perth.

Thanks.

Brad.

A cable joint should be able to make you a custom one that is long enough that it doesn't have the stress on the end of the cable.

I replaced my clutch cable after a very heavy clutch! Best thing I've ever done.

Cheers
