EA81 oil

Post by TheInterceptor » Wed Mar 09, 2011 11:02 pm

Hey all.

Wondering whats the best oil to use in an ea81 ticker with 185k on it?

Also what sort of oil does the gbox take? I seem to be having a leak i think from the rear of the box. Also gear one crunches if you try to shift into it above 10 or so kmph...prolly unrelated but yeah.

Cheers.

I'm running LSD grade oil in my gearbox and its going pretty well. The cold changes are easier - 2nd was usually really difficult to get in on a cold morning...

As for your engine oil I stick with a good brand of mineral oil, not into synthetics!

Cheers

Same here, Valvoline XLD Premium 20W50, but with Castrol Multitrax (75W90) in the box.
