Mate I wouldn't even know what they're worth... Is it in good nick? I'm hoping to modify it to fit a mazda factory turbo exhaust housing so guess it doesn't matter if it is. So how much you want for it? ;)

I've got a VF8 which is practically the same thing. One of the mount holes where the up pipe bolts on is slightly cracked, turbo was working fine though I guess this wouldn't matter if you're modifying it anyways. About 170k's off my original Legacy motor. You can have it.

How did he fit? New manifold or bolt it to the exhaust housing? How much do you want for the vj12?

Not sure. I've heard the vf12 need some mods but worth the extra effort, the vf10 fits easy. I'll ask my bro how much he wants. I miss my old laser:( it was a fun car.

On one of the mazda forums one of the guys modified the exhaust housing from the factory vj11 to fit the vf12 cartridge. So it was a hybrid using the factory oil, coolant lines and the factory manifold.

Just be aware that it can be difficult to impossible to find spares to rebuild these old VF series turbos , at least with the Mitsubishi (MHI) TD series turbos they can be rebuilt and theres squillions of theme second hand and cheap too .
I was told all you can get VF wise is cartridges for the EA82 OE turbo .
