fwd vs awd shifter linkage

hey guys does any1 know if there is a difference between a gen 1 lib fwd and awd shifter linkages ??

as i have tried to install mine but is to short ?

Didn't think there was any difference. I used my short shifter with all the linkages from my FWD Impreza on my mates RS and had no problems.

Never seen a difference in them.. got to make sure you don't use the gearbox bracket mounting plate from the 2WD though :(

well i just went and checked it out

and the bottom pole the one with the cup for the ball is definitely to short but the top pole im positive is the right length :confused:

any ideas
