Split style CV boots

Post by Cliff R » Wed Jan 04, 2012 8:04 pm

I think this was discussed years ago somewhere on the forum but I cant find it now.
For those instances where a CV boot is stuffed and you know it needs replacing but for whatever reason (usually time) you cant do the job right now but also know if you dont do something you will be replacing more than a CV boot soon, eg (a CV) does anyone know of a reliable split CV boot that can be quickly installed till time etc can be found to pull the CV's and drive shaft out.
I seem to recall from somewhere rally drivers used something but I cant find the info I thought I had stored somewhere.

This is the stuff. Thanks for the info.
I just want something to get by with and I have no intention of being slack I just want to avoild (as per the ebay item) full CV replacement,
I see on the L series at least the drivers side inner is looking a bit ordinary.
