Carby. Webber 32/36 easily the best Carb. Haven't fitted one to my Brum but had one on a 1800 datto ute and only paid $50 for the carb (wish that would happen now).
Can't coment on the exhaust caues I don't have any practical experience. except the Brum with the long hotdog and 41mm outlet goes harder than the one with the resonator and 38mm outlet.
Some things that can be done to the engine which are normal service type things
Valve clearances set to minum
ignition timing set to 8deg BTDC with electronic dizzy
98 octane fuel to suit the timing. (oh here we go the great 98 debate) Don't care what yas say 98 is the go and it works for me every time.
