Best thing about the diff is that it is a 4.111 ratio.

Well, I've got no idea with those pics, it certainly looks like an open diff :(

How do you know it's a 4.11? Just curious to know that you've got it right ;)

Still got friction when you turn one output stub and hold the pinion shaft?

Cheers

Later lsd's look the same as an open diff because the viscous coupling is between the side gear and the crown wheel. Turn the 2 output shafts against each other. If you can easily turn them in opposite directions, its an open diff.

Hey Bennie, It has 37:9 printed on the crown wheel so my calculations say 4.111?

Yeah if you hold the stub and pinion shaft it is really hard to turn and there is a lot of resistance. The the other stub turns in the same direction. It is an lsd without a doubt.

Stoked to have got it for 90 bux ;)

That's awesome!

If that's printed on the crown wheel I guess it's correct then - this relates to the number of teeth on the crown and pinion gears. This will mean that the pinion shaft will have 9 teeth ;)
