EA81 head reconditioning
Steptoe, having a closer look at the engines I have torn down (92 and 87) they are solid lifters after all. They both had square adjusters for valve clearances and reading the American site the hydraulic engines have a sticker with do not adjust written on them. You would think they would have changed all engines over to hydraulic, seems not to be the case.

Wouldn't you think .....
Word is that the push rods of hydraulic and solids differed also, so if you were to swap keep the rockers, rods and lifters together as sets. Someone has reported changing from one lifter to another in same block. The blocks differ in pressed in inserts for the hydraulic lifters
