5 speed for EA81
5 speed for EA81
Heya guys
can someone confirm if the 5 speed box out of a 1991 fuel injected Leone (EA82.?) will fit up to an EA81 Brumby.
I have a lead on a complete 91 Leone

The DOJ side of the driveshaft will have a different spline count to those on the Brumby driveshaft. You need the put the L series fuel injected joints onto the brumby length driveshaft. A carbed L series box will have the same splines as the brumby...
Oh, I was beaten to it, ohh well

efi EA82 FWD sedan non turbo would be a Leone Royale ? Box should fit but restrict you to FWD. I know turbo FWD EA82 boxes are 25 spline stubs out of the Vortex. Good luck to anyone able to pull an EA82 L Series CV shafts apart DOJ or CV end. Funny, I only had trouble after I read that they are not meant to ever come off again !

I don't understand what DOJ is I get the CV end is gearbox side of shaft
DOJ is it the hub end..??
and are the shafts meant to come apart at all and why was it hard to split.
I thought about only using the front WD but am not to sure.
Not that it will ever really see the bush but its sorta there and dosent seem right pulling the tailshaft out of it.

Vice versa. EA81 shafts are easy enough. Reckon I got a few EA82 DOJs off before I read that they are not serviceable/pull apartable. The best CV shafts I have are a pair I made up out of bits I had all over the shed floor, inspected and assembled in a desperate measure. Certain some were EA82 DOJ.
Last lot of L Series I tried to pull apart - not willing at all.
FWD Brumby would be rude. Spline count on whatever you find is needed to ensure no last minute dRAMAS.
