it gets better than that.try 6500rpm doing 30kph with motor cutting in and out.yeah i've checked and rechecked fluid levels. Now the torque conv just keeps on rattling.Have talked to a few auto experts and they all say nah them torque conv don't stuff up.one suggested i unplug the box wiring connecter, all of a sudden no slipping but the tc is still rattling and i've sprung a front diff leak at the axle.Looks like dodgee line pressure, unplugged it gives it full line pressure.
Anyone got the pinout for the tt auto plug on the box side i think some pins might need changing?

its all about heat - the longer you stall it up for the more heat your generating
so a VERY big cooler on it is a good thing (especially if there is a fan on it :) )

I'm doing that with mine - nissan patrol auto cooler x 3. the trans one will have a decent high flow fan on it.

I like the idea of a TCU in mine. I manualised a checv auto years ago that was supposed to have one and I was always braeking it.

send me that fellows name will ya.

sitting still at the moment.the rattle is coming from inside the diff area, drained the oil rattle goes away.Dane ,Al tells me you have the 95 gx auto pinouts can i geta copy? Will have to check the pinouts box end i think line pressure etc might be crossed.i'm thinking the fwd tcu ain't gunna do it.Could be time to add the extra wires and run a wrex tcu or try the awd tcu with duty c disconnected.

definately sounds to me like you have 12V up the line pressure solenoid = bugger all line pressure. How you have managed that though i dont know??

I have the pinouts at the TCU end only for the 95 model. I have all the diagrams for Gen1 but i gave you those..

I will try hunt something down for you.

postie i have the same TCU in my shed.. might save you some postage getting it from byron.

When are you at home these days - i can drop round and give you a hand with this if you want? I am still confident the FWD TCU will drive this box, its gotta be a wiring problem

dane i agree with the wiring prob.My stab in the dark is the vss as this input affects a few different outputs,i'm running the one in the l dash but only connected at one point on the tcu ,there are 2 pins that run vss on the fwd tcu one from box one from dash they back each other up if one fails.also i sliced in the g/box plug of a awd loom as a couple of the pins from the fwd one didn't match the the box pretty sure i got the wires connected right lineWorking overtime lately so i don't get home to after 4.00 pm most week days, weekends i'm normally around. When is a good time to call you?And yes a hand in this would be GREAT.
