L Series low range in Liberty AWD box

Post by Subaman » Sat Nov 12, 2005 8:33 pm

As some of you may know I blew my gearbox up on the day of the BYB BBQ, anyway a few good things were to eventuate from my missfortune, I finally got my Lib back on the road today complete with L Series low range fitted. While it was out we also mucked around with 4.11 and 4.444 diff ratio`s which will be happening real soon. I know it prolly isnt the smartest thing fitting the L series low range infront of the EJ20T but man the improvement is fantastic, anyway thanks to Brett, Reece,Dave and everyone else who helped out durring my Libs time of need :D

Cheers
Grant

No, just a 3.9 at this stage, we had the 4.11 in their but there was a few issues we had to make adjustments to but didnt have the time as I needed the car going again for an upcomming trip, but I now have the broken dual range box that just came out of the car to continue modifying. If all goes to plan we are going to turn it into a 4.11 with the L Series low range and then fit it in my Brumby with the EJ22, with 27 inch tyres it should be quite reliable and a really nice combination in a Brumby.

Did the adjustments involve a grinder??

No chance of a 4.44 r&p going in there?
