Guys this one should be easy. I have an EA82 Sedan and I'm just curious if the twin carb manifold could be made to suit the EA82 and if so what power gains could I expect.
The follow on from that question would be can I fit two weber carbies to that manifold and would it make much difference if I could
Twin Carbies to Twin Weber Carbies
From what I've read, I believe minor modifications (possibly slotting of holes) is all that is needed to make them fit on the EA82.
Power gains are a tough one, I have just fitted the Twins on my EA81 and I noticed a fair bit of low down torque gain, however I was a little disappointed in top end improvements. I have not had the carbs balanced or any form of 'proper' tune other than tuning them to what sounded best. I also suspect my EA81 of being a little 'tired'.
As for putting dual Webers on, I believe it's possible but you need at least one DGV as the choke will foul otherwise. Again, only what I have read. You will also find that linkages will be fun to fabricate!
