hi all
just about to build up a ej 22 block,ej18 heads,18 injection gear
has any one done this,if so what pros/cons about this conversion
the reason for 18 injection as my wireing is done

probley want to use an ej22 computer otherwise the engine will lean out bad

Wouldn't using ej18 heads be a down grade?

mabee same heads or low compression heads or high comp heads
put 22 injectors in when assembled unless differnt sizes
current ej18 awd targa brumby

Might have a smaller chamber would probabily = higher compression depending on what the cam timing is doing. The valves may be smaller too - you'd want to check this out.

On old holdens a trick to get them moving with the old sixes was to get a head from an engine size below (or two below) what you have - these have smaller chambers and help easily increase compression, with a good cam etc you'd have a sweet performance engine...

I reckon there'll be problems with the computer and leaning out, it may adjust itself enough to get by but could be outside the fuel delivery range. Larger injectors may help.
