I been thinking about this postie. Your wiring is right, im almost certain of it. The only place there could be an error is on the plug on top of the gearbox, but your sure you have that correct.
The fact that the gearbox slips now with no electricals plugged in probably means the box is stuffed, we agreed on that. but the only other thing you have modified is the tranny cooler....
where did it come from? Was it new? Is it possibly blocked starving the box of pressure??
just an idea, i still think your up for a new gearbag

dane the cooler was off a trike i used to drag years ago.i've pulled a line and watched the oil come out of the cooler it sort of pulses out not in huge volumes.I am not sure if this is normal.Done a bit more research on the vss and i'll be able to get away running just one, all that happens is it limits transfer to the rear to a min and a fault code. The 123DNRP on the display won't affect the tcu operation but i'm thinking you were right about that power /economy switch so i'll wire something in.My missus is telling me to sell it ,but i 'll hang in there for a bit more.

You wouldn't believe it.I just disconnected the the oil cooler and ran the lines back on themselves and low and behold i've got R and wait 1st,pulls great, but then slipping in drive between gears.I think the cooler cost me the box, don't often here of a cooler killing the box.I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Note: don't be a tight arse buy a new cooler,it'll be cheaper in the long run
