I did a run to Mt hotham the other day and on the way back into benders from bright i probabily used about 26ltrs, i had 4 ltrs left in the tank when we filled up... The fuel needle was on the E for most of this trip...
Did a total of 800km, used 1 full tank, put in 18ltrs from gerry and that was all it used.
Cheers
Bennie

If i put in 15L/$20 the needle goes to 1/2 but goes down a lot qucker. If i put 25L in it still goes to half. I found as well that from full, the first half goes a lot quicker. The other day it had just touched the top of the red, so I put in 10L exactly to test consumption and I got 108Kms before it got to the same spot.

What sort of consumption are people getting?

Okay, so i slipped into adelaide for the weekend just gone. 1 tank, 739km, needle just on the lower end of the "E". Now the L has a 60L tank, i fill right up to the nozzle. 65 litres later i had a full tank.
On the return trip i filled up in ballarat as it was cheaper than in my pero's home town (about an hour and a half away). Got 55 litres to 627km. Pretty happy with that.
So basically, you can fit more than 60 ltrs in an L's tank.

Probabily at about walking pace. I didn't realise i was on the rock and had made a few attempts at climbing the hill again, probabily didn't help the tank.
The front left and rear right where holding all the weight so the other two wheels were free spinning...
Its all about concerntration in ALL directions when in the sticks (at all times when in the car actually).

My L sedan fuel gauge just above the empty red took just 44 litres again - giving me 25.9 mpg after some town driving, highway, up hill, down dale (dirt) and turbo demonstration. It then sat at FULL for next 104 km, at 107 it fell to the foot of the F in FULL. If it has a range of 500km, it is pretty deceptive for the first hundred km's , must be for the remainder too
