You should check the torque values for your model as they will inevitably vary from model to model.

Yes from memory the crankshaft pulley bolt is 22mm on EJ22.

Yes the EA82 is a non-interference engine so no the valves won't hit the pistons.

Which belts are slipping, your timing belts or the drive belts on the front? There should be a certain about of deviation in the drive belts if they are at the right tension (they give a belt deflection at a certain effort in nM normally but I just go to about 1cm movement on the longest straight length with a good finger push), and adjusting the tensioning mechanism (tensioner pulley or A/C mount usually). It is recommended you re-test/tension the belts after a few hundred km.
