loctite silver grade anti seize part number 76741

probably cost about as much as one of the shafts for a tube :)

and yes those shafts and clutch look very nice.

I got some anti seize. Should do fine. Tossing up if I should go swap the clutch now....The rattly throwout bearing is sending me bonkers! Il see how i go, I got a little problem of the cylinders filling up with fuel that I need to sort out first.
Clutch was pretty cheap. "RPM" brand. Im not heavy on the clutch too often so hopefully it'l be ok.

New CV's in and fuel problem sorted (pesky FPR leaking into the manifold). Just a question though, whats the usual procedure to remove and install rear driveshafts? I laid under the car for about 20mins trying to get them on but nothing seemed to work, they just seemed to big. Ended up dropping the diff down and sliding them on like that.

time to go get bogged :D.

Been that log forgotten original problem.

drop the diff is how I have got shafts off the diff but not out. Will need to go down similar path to fix a bearing rumble - got the reco to be swing arm and hub, partly dismantled, lubed up for a pressing session.

Subydoug, what are you doing witht the old rear shafts? I'm only after the shaft, not the CVs on either end.

Let me know as I'm parts gathering for a project ;) And where exactly is Carlisle? Google brings up businesses all over Sydney!

Dropping the diff is pretty standard for rear drive shaft replacement in the MYs and L series ;)

Cheers

Still got them out the back. Your welcome to them if you want them. Carlisle is in Perth. If you shoot me a PM Il ship them off next week. They seem to be in pretty decent shape.

Doug
